Helmet Integrated Systems will be
showcasing the Purelite Xstream, a
new lightweight, head-mounted
powered air purifying respirator
(PAPR), which provides
respiratory protection
against solid aerosols/
particulates, and
incorporates a
polycarbonate
faceshield to provide eye
and face protection from
impact and liquid splash.
Weighing just
1kg, the Xstream
features twin
TH2P filters and a
rechargeable 8 hour
battery pack located inside the
helmet shell. With an assigned
protection factor of 20 (APF 20) the
fan motor and filters deliver an
airflow of 210 l/min, which is
maintained at a minimum of 150
l/min when the battery duration is
becoming exhausted.
Also on display, new
Pureweld powered air and
airline supplied respirators
combine an EN397
certified safety helmet
with an integrated
welding shield. Simple
and convenient to use, it
eliminates the
need for belt
mounted
power/ filter
units, trailing
airlines, or
supply hoses.
