Recognising health and safety in manufacturing
31 January 2022
THE SHE Awards is now in its fifth year and aims to recognise the key role that companies and individuals play in keeping people and premises safe.
The Awards celebrate innovation and achievements in the health and safety sector and winners will be announced at a gala dinner at The Vox, Resorts World Birmingham on 6 April 2022, hosted by well-known comedian Hugh Dennis.
There is still time to enter the awards and entries need to be submitted by the 31 January 2022. You can enter for FREE at www.she-awards.co.uk.
The Best Health and Safety in Manufacturing award, sponsored by Martor, is designed to recognise a manufacturing premises, which can demonstrate either an exemplary health and safety record or how it has taken significant steps to improve health and safety standards. Entrants must explain how they have ensured the health, safety and wellbeing of anyone who had access to or worked at the premises.
Martor says there are safety knives for almost every cutting task in the workplace and that choosing the right safety knife will improve safety, profits and staff wellbeing. With 25 years of experience and 1,000s of Risk Assessments carried out, Martor can help you find the correct cutting solution for your needs.
Chris Brown, managing director at Martor says, “We wanted to sponsor the Best Health and Safety in Manufacturing award because knife safety is an issue across all manufacturing sites. Factories need knives and without them most production lines would not be able to function. Once a business recognises the importance of knives, then they should look for the best knives that combine efficiency and safety. Martor’s goal is to ‘Cut Risks, not Efficiency’ and we can help companies achieve this by making detailed knife Risk Assessments on site – a free of charge service.”
SHE Awards Event Director Mark Sennet says, “We are delighted to have Martor's support, and it demonstrates their dedication to improving safety and cutting risks.
“This will be the first SHE Awards with a live audience since the start of the pandemic so we are expecting this to be a night to remember.”
