Self-administered hearing tests
05 December 2019
A new self-administered industrial hearing test system was on hand for delegates to try at the recent Health & Safety North event.

Tom Parker, director of WorkScreen, points out that consistent results require no specialist training and says the wireless, rechargeable and go-anywhere system is designed to improve access to this important health check.
“Essentially, our aim is to ensure everyone who needs a hearing test at work gets one, which is why we are so proud be a founder member of the UK Hearing Conservation Association. For the same reason, I was really pleased to get enquires from organisations in sectors as diverse as hospitality, construction, brewing and rail, as well as consultants in noise and H&S.
"The attraction for clients is lower costs, better scalability and flexibility, because you can take a test at any time of day for any number of people. I was also really pleased that a number of visitors also recognised WorkScreen’s value in baselining staff hearing at induction, as well as for hearing surveillance.”
