IP&E Awards extends deadline for entries
23 August 2023
THE ENTRY deadline for the inaugural Industrial Plant and Equipment Awards has been extended until 31 August 2023.
The IP&E Awards are free-to-enter and showcase a variety of visions of industrial excellence, reflecting the diversity and best-in-class quality of UK industry.
IP&E editor Ed Lowton commented: “With a number of people taking their annual leave during the summer holidays, we’ve opted to extend the deadline for nominations until the end of August to ensure as many as possible have the opportunity to participate.”
More judges announced
As anticipation grows for the first edition of the IP&E Awards, further judges have recently been confirmed.
Alan Arthur, CEO of the GTMA, Ian Gardner, senior account technology leader at IBM, Wendy Garner, head of Coventry University’s School of Mechanical Engineering, and Ian Manning, marketing manager at Turck Banner will form part of the panel of judges for this year’s awards.
“I am delighted and honoured to be invited onto the judging panel for the inaugural year of these Industrial Plant & Equipment awards, showcasing excellence across the UK manufacturing industry supply chains,” said Arthur.
“The GTMA welcomes this opportunity to support innovation and achievement covering all sectors and engineering disciplines."
Gardner was also happy to form part of the IP&E awards, which he believes provide the chance to showcase the accomplishments of the UK industry.
"What a great opportunity to shout about our successes and achievements. We need to highlight and share accomplishments, not only for recognition but to inspire others," he affirmed.
“It really is a privilege to be a judge on these awards. I expect the calibre of the candidates to be extremely high and look forward to seeing the entries. It not only gives me a lot of pride to participate in the IP&E Awards, but as a judge, I cannot help but feel pride in our industrial sector as a whole. Such awards recognise the talent, innovation and dedication that we have in the UK.”
They join the MTA’s head of operations James Fudge and GAMBICA sector head - industrial automation Nikesh Mistry.
The deadline for entries for the IP&E Awards is now 31 August 2023 and the winners will be revealed at a free-to-attend online ceremony in October 2023.
