Two gold awards
19 September 2017
Chubb Systems has received a Gold Award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) for the fifth consecutive year, while Chubb Fire & Security received the Gold Award for the second time, following its first Gold Award in 2016.
RoSPA Gold Award winners are recognised for achieving a high level of performance while demonstrating well-developed occupational health and safety management systems and culture, outstanding control of risk and very low levels of error, harm and loss. Chubb, a leading provider of security and fire-safety solutions, is a part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp.
Nichola Maher, EH&S manager, Chubb Systems, accepted the award on behalf of the organisation. “We are proud to have achieved the top Gold Award five times in a row. It demonstrates that we are never complacent, and we go to extensive lengths to protect employees, and have a robust, on-going commitment to ensuring every Chubb employee is working in the safest conditions.”
Mark Redding, head of environmental health and safety at Chubb Fire & Security, said health and safety is a core value and at the heart of everything Chubb does, at every level of the business. “We attribute tremendous value and importance on these awards, and achieving these results receives the utmost support from the most senior levels of our organisation.”
