Shoes For Crews has been a trusted leader in safety footwear to foodservice, hospitality, healthcare and industrial employees for over 30 years.
The company says its mission is to help protect employees from slip and fall accidents by providing the most comfortable and slip-resistant footwear available anywhere. Shoes for Crews researches, designs, engineers and manufactures every shoe it sells to provide its customers the best in comfort, style, durability and slip-resistance.
Historically Shoes For Crews has worked closely with UK companies operating in the food service, food manufacturing and industrial sectors, in particular, to ensure that slip and fall accidents are reduced to a minimum. Its offering is not limited to these markets. It manufactures an extensive range of athletic, dress and safety anti-slip footwear ensuring there is a product for many roles within several markets where slip-resistant footwear is crucial in the workplace.
The company says its unique outsole is what sets it apart from the competition, featuring an exclusive rubber compound and a grid pattern that actually pushes liquids away and aggressively grips the microscopic roughness of the floor. The outsoles have achieved a 5 star rating in 2016 through the HSL GRIP scheme
Shoes For Crews' European HQ, based at Shannon, Ireland, now services over 100,000 industrial, hospitality, quick service restaurants and healthcare facilities in more than 25 European countries. In the UK it has several key distribution partnerships ensuring its products are available to end users through their chosen routes.
Commenting on becoming a member of the BSIF, Terry Swinney, UK sales manager said: “I am delighted that Shoes For Crews are now a member of BSIF. Having both worked for and in partnership with members of BSIF over the years I have seen first-hand the great work that is carried out by BSIF and I look forward to Shoes for Crews now being a member of this excellent community.”
