Bespoke cradle attachment
15 January 2016
The cradle lifting attachment with bespoke welded arms from Packline Materials Handling is designed to lift specifically sized tools or die blocks.
Constructed from stainless steel welded assembly, the lifting attachment can lift loads to 150kg. The attachment mass is 17kg. The tool being handled has precise sections from which it was to be lifted, hence the cut outs in the cradle were added.
The V shape ensures the tool can be balanced between the two arms for working on, servicing, or for placing into a machine or onto a work bench. The lifter itself was designed to ensure usability and stability. A top adjustable micro-switch was fitted to stop the cradle attachment from being raised up too high. Leg stops were also added so that the lifter could be positioned in the correct alignment for loading and unloading of the tools.
