AJAX Righthite Step Unit

The AJAX Righthite folding step unit is primarily for assisting with the loading of road tankers. They are put to use by a wide range of companies that include Petrochemical, Cement, Ash Reclamation (including power stations) and the Milk Marketing Board.

AJAX Righthite tanker access step units are used to provide a safe working environment to workers who need to gain access to areas at different heights; where safety is a priority. Units are supplied with handrails that run from the top fixed step to the last moving step and can also be supplied with a full cage to enclose the worker in a safe area.

AJAX Righthite safe access step platforms can be lowered horizontally at a controlled speed on to the tanker below. For sloping barrel tankers, our safe access platforms can be tilted to the gradient of the tanker body.

AJAX Righthite step units are hot dipped galvanised giving the units protection from the elements and making them suitable for outdoor, corrosive and chemical environments.

For high risk petrochemical environments safe access systems can be manufactured and supplied with comprehensive documentation to evidence that all components and materials comply fully with the latest ATEX Directives (94/9/EC).

Bespoke AJAX Platforms

Along with the AJAX Access Steps, AJAX can manufacture suitable platforms and stairs to support the Access Step Units if there is not a current platform on site; eliminating the need for extra suppliers.

One of our recent projects compiled the complete package consisting of a fully galvanised steel Platform, Staircase and Mark Four Step Unit with safety cage - demonstrating the capabilities of the AJAX Safe Access team.
