Lone worker safety expert,
Peoplesafe, has added Real Time
Locating Systems (RTLS) from
9Solutions to its portfolio. The RTLS
solution provides indoor locating
systems, which enhance lone worker
services by overcoming the lack of
coverage from GPS satellite and
mobile networks within buildings.
Peoplesafe provides lone worker systems to clients concerned for the welfare of lone workers located on large sites. These sites may be, for example, campuses, data centres, manufacturing plants, warehouses or logistics centres. Lone workers on these types of sites can suffer from slips, trips or fall as a result of their environment or task. They may even become ill during their working day.
Locating an incapacitated person in these types of situations may be impossible if they are indoors as GPS signals will not penetrate brick, glass or metal structures.
This new solution from Peoplesafe and 9Solutions will provide a manager access to live information, allowing them to see if an employee has raised an alert and also to confirm their location through Bluetooth technology, thus ensuring assistance is provided as quickly as possible.
