Powerturn buggies, hovercrafts and pistol shooting, will be just a few of the activities on offer at this year's BSIF Networking Day which will take place on 26 September at its new location, Heythrop Hall in Enstone, Oxfordshire.
David Lummis, CEO at the BSIF, comments: “Throughout the year the BSIF hosts a number of events designed to enhance networking opportunities, with the yearly BSIF Networking Event being a key occasion on our members' calendar.
“By organising such an event it allows like minded individuals to discuss issues (that matter to them) in the safety industry, whilst taking part in a number of fun day activities followed by attending a Gala Dinner in the evening.â€
Individuals will have the opportunity to experience driving a hovercraft around a specialist course. Powerturn buggies will also be available to test participants driving skills to the maximum. Alongside the motorised activities a selection of field sports will be on offer, including pistol shooting, hands on experience with a vast range of raptors and a golf competition.
David continues: “The Gala Dinner speaker this year is the Right Honourable David Blunkett MP who will be on hand to give his forthright views on the political scene and occupational safety in the UK, as well as doubtlessly entertaining us with his keen wit and wealth of stories.â€
A charity auction, organised by The McOnie Agency, will also be raising funds for Mesothelioma UK, a national resource centre dedicated to providing specialist Mesothelioma information, support, improved care and treatment.
David concludes: “We hope everyone enjoys the event and would urge those still interested in attending to contact us asap.â€
