Freedor from Fireco is a new
ergonomic solution for holding fire
doors open safely and legally whilst
enabling improved access. A wireless
device that is installed at the top of a
fire door, Freedor allows the door to
swing freely and be left in any
position, but closes the door when the
fire alarm sounds.
Freedor listens for a fire alarm that exceeds 65dBA, verifying the alarm over a 14 second period, before releasing the fire door to prevent the spread of fire and smoke around the building.
The system has adjustable closing speed and is capable of operating fire doors up to power size 4 weighing 80kg. Suitable for right and left hand doors, it has a minimum battery life of 12-18 months.
