At the Lion & Lobster, one of
Brighton's oldest pub/restaurants,
System X from Fireco is being used
to communicate with Dorgards
fitted on fire doors.
System X uses Wi-Fi technology to communicate with an unlimited number of fire safety devices within a 100m range (subject to a site survey).
Owner Finn Whelan explains the attraction of System X: "We have a maze of rooms, cosy little bars within the restaurant, and kitchens on the first and second floors, so there are lots of fire doors. We get very busy, so it's vital customers and staff can move about easily. System X allows us to keep our fire doors open safely and legally, throughout the building."
