Seaward has extended its range of
portable appliance testing (PAT)
record keeping programs with the
introduction of a new manual data
entry product. Available with a free
90 day evaluation offer, the new
PATGuard Elements program has
been designed for use with manual
PAT testers that do not incorporate
an internal memory for the storage
of test results.
The new software enables test results taken with manual PAT testers to be incorporated into a formal PC-based record keeping system. The program is intended for use by organisations that perform electrical safety testing and maintain their own records but who require a simplified database system.
This is in keeping with the HSE Memorandum of Guidance on the Electricity At Work Regulations 1898 which advises that records of maintenance including test results should be kept throughout the life of the equipment.
