Tilsatec launches sustainable gloves range
12 April 2023
TILSATEC IS working towards positive change across manufacturing, logistics, energy consumption, recycling and raw materials to deliver high performance hand protection which enables customer to reduce their carbon footprint and take energy intensive products out of the supply chain.
The EnVision glove range has been designed to provide end users with a credible, viable more sustainable alternative to their current hand protection that doesn’t mean compromising on protection and comfort or significantly higher prices.
Specifying EnVision hand protection helps to solve a major, emerging issue for businesses – how to reduce the impact of their supply chain without compromising protection for their workforce.
As a conscientious PPE manufacturer, we recognise the need to continually look at the raw materials used in our products, opting for bio, plant-based, or recycled yarns where possible.
Bio-based Dyneema is the first ever bio-based ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fibre, reducing reliance on fossil fuel-based resources. All bio-based Dyneema fibres have the exact same characteristics and performance as conventional Dyneema. Made from trees (a bi-product of pulp and timber) this is known as the mass balance approach, certified by ISCC (International Sustainability & Carbon Certification).
Carbon emissions are reduced by over 600 grams for every pair of gloves made with bio-based Dyneema fibre.
The EnVision glove range delivers cut resistance to level A, level C and level F providing protection for a number of different industries and handling applications. No longer do you have to choose between performance and comfort vs wanting to make more environmentally conscious purchases. You can do both.
55-6725 is a cut level F glove with microfoam palm coating made with 68% recycled and bio-based yarns. Tilsatec are one of only a handful of manufacturers to use Bio-Based Dyneema the first ever bio-based ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fibre, reducing reliance on fossil fuel-based resources.
The 55-3725 cut level C glove with microfoam palm coating is made with a huge 83% recycled and bio-based yarns. Using rPet from recycled plastic bottles and Bio-Based Dyneema, 1 pair = a CO2 reduction of 227 grams p/pair.
55-1725 is the cut level A glove with microfoam palm coating is made with 86% recycled yarns. Not just a token gesture quantity, you can make a significant reduction in the carbon footprint of the raw materials that go into the products you buy.
With incredible fine tactility and dexterity, and an advanced cuff design to minimise irritation, the level of comfort and movement achieved in this glove must be tried to be believed.
EnVision will be showcased at this month’s Health & Safety Event at the NEC where you can see us Tilsatec on stand 3 E/40. Its business development manager, Lynne Pate will also be delivering a speaker session in the Practical Safety Theatre, Tuesday April 25th at 1.30pm; Can You Afford Not to Have a Site Survey?
