RELIANCE PROTECT will be exhibiting and presenting at the Health & Safety Event 2024, which takes place between 30 April - 2 May at the NEC in Birmingham. At what is the UK’s largest dedicated event for health and safety professionals, Reliance Protect will be on Stand 4/C14, where visitors can discover more about its extensive range of products, systems and services.

Taking centre stage will be the popular Pulse+ next generation personal safety keyfob, which continues to be a massive hit with Reliance Protect’s customers. Pulse+ integrates 4G and Bluetooth connectivity alongside Global Positioning System (GPS) and Wi-Fi locating technologies to provide accurate location positioning both indoors and outdoors. Alongside a robust design, an IP67 water ingress rating, improved battery life and enhanced ease of use, Pulse+ also has fall detection and Monitor, a check in and out function. Users can set a check in time and if they don’t check back out after a specified period the device raises an alarm.
Visitors can also get hands-on with Reliance Protect’s award winning ID Ultra. Like Pulse+, ID Ultra integrates Wi-Fi alongside GPS functionality for accurate locations indoors and outdoors, has fall detection and the Monitor check in and out feature. It is styled as a discreet ID cardholder that has easy to access buttons and simple device status LEDs. Reliable and robust, it is dust and water resistant to IP67 – an important feature for those working outside and/or in harsh environments. With over 30k ID Ultras out in the field with users, it is Reliance Protect’s most popular device.
Body worn cameras are sure to be an area of significant interest at the Health & Safety Event 2024 and Reliance Protect’s range of body worn cameras combine high-definition video and audio. They can stream live, which can be accessed by authorised individuals within a customer organisation or by operators at Reliance Protect’s BS 5979 Category II alarm receiving centre (ARC). There is the feature packed VB400 with Bluetooth and GPS, and the smaller more compact VT100. Both cameras can be assigned and reassigned to users via radio frequency identification RFID, typically utilising existing staff ID access cards, providing a full audit trail of who has used the camera.
Although body worn cameras are increasingly popular, the physical devices are only part of the picture. Reliance Protect’s cloud-based secure online VideoManager platform makes the management and sharing of evidence ready footage simple and secure. Media files are uploaded and stored securely in the cloud and can be remotely accessed via desktop, laptop, tablet and smartphone. There are extensive user permission levels and options to align user access with the organisation’s wider information security policies. Editing tools can be used to redact or crop video, blur backgrounds, add text, zoom in, and mute sections of audio, while the original video master copies are retained in secure storage.
Talking of feature rich portals, delegates will also be able to see the latest updates to Reliance Protect’s lone worker Focus portal, which enables organisations to easily manage the day to day administration of the lone worker devices, access and schedule a range of powerful reports with live data, view live location information and user status, and a rich library of support documents and eLearning courses.
For those hungry for knowledge, the Health & Safety Event 2024 has a free to attend seminar programme. On 30 April at 12.20pm in the Lone Worker Safety Live Conference, Reliance Protect’s head of sales, Chantal Anabtawi, will be joined by Dean Feast, health, safety and emergency planning officer at Cambridge City Council, to present a case study titled How to Embed Lone Worker Solutions in a Large, Complex Organisation. Attendees can hear about the challenges and successful initiatives Cambridge City Council used to integrate effective safety solutions for its lone workers.
"Organisations across a diverse range of vertical sectors from retail, healthcare and education to housing, hospitality, social work and utilities benefit from our lone worker and body worn camera innovations," commented Chris Allcard, lone worker services director at Reliance Protect. "The Health & Safety Event 2024 will be one of the highlights of the year and visitors to Stand 4/C14 will have an opportunity to see our technologies and speak to our team of experts to learn about how we make people safer."
