Entries are open for UKMHA Awards

12 May 2022

UKMHA HAS launched the countdown to is annual awards by opening up nominations in a host of different categories.

Widely recognised as the benchmark for quality for the whole of the material handling industry, the Archies – formerly known as the Annual Awards for Excellence – will be celebrating at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on Saturday 15 October 2022.

“But first we need the nominations,” says UKMHA chief executive Tim Waples. “And that’s where everyone in the sector can get involved.

“We are looking for the best of the best. All will have one thing in common: they excel at what they do. That could be an individual, a business or a remarkable new product or service. It could be someone from the supply-side of the industry or a company that owns and operates material handling equipment that has introduced new measures or technology to significantly enhance on-site safety.”

Entry is free of charge and people are welcome to nominate themselves as well as others. The only stipulations are that entries must be in by the closing date of 30th June 2022 and new products or services must have been launched onto the UK market between 1st January 2021 and 30th June 2022.

“This year sees the biggest and most diverse range of categories ever, with some entirely new awards,” continues Tim Waples “This is reflective of UKMHA’s role in representing all aspects of the nation’s material handling industry, including manufacturers, suppliers, dealers, end users and other stakeholders.”

“We anticipate a high level of entries,” emphasises Tim Waples. “As always, there will be plenty of surprises among the winners on the night. But don’t delay, entries close on 30th June 2022 so my advice is to do it now. Don’t risk missing out.”
