Law to curb killer
14 October 2014
From October 2014, it will be compulsory in Scotland for a carbon monoxide alarm or detector to be fitted to all new build properties. Anyone who does not comply with this new legislation will be breaking the law.
Expert electrical supplier Superlec comments: "At Superlec we are well aware of the devastation that carbon monoxide poisoning can cause, so we welcome this new legislation as a positive step towards combating the deaths that happen in the UK every year because of it."
Superlec has a wide selection of top quality carbon monoxide detectors readily available for immediate delivery. The 10LLCO comes complete with a ten year guarantee on both the battery and the alarm for customer peace of mind. Other models include alarms that can be installed in as little as ten minutes or hard wired battery backup detectors that are suitable for new build and properties undergoing renovation.
