Shutting down risk
21 March 2014
Provider of asset management services to power network operators EA Technology has been commissioned to introduce a condition-based maintenance programme for 23 Ministry of Defence (MoD) power networks.

Commissioned by engineering support services organisation Babcock, the programme will reduce the risk of network shutdowns and lower the cost of asset replacement across strategic MoD sites it manages in the South East of England.
Providing tailored combinations of technical services and specialist consultancy, EA Technology’s condition-based programmes enable more effective management of power networks based on asset criticality and condition. The project for the Babcock-maintained MoD networks involves the provision of health indices, transformer oil analysis and substation assessments to transformers and high voltage (HV) switchgear units.
