Competency centre

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions to industries around the world, has opened its new hazardous area competency validation centre in Grangemouth, Scotland. The CompEx facility is currently Scotland's only centre offering CompEx units Ex12 'Application Design Engineers' and Ex11 Mechanical.

Director of Intertek's UK operations Talban Sohi said: "Ensuring staff competency in hazardous locations is key to our clients reducing risk and protecting the integrity of their facilities and operations; and staff competency validation through CompEx provides the highest possible level of confidence." Complementing Intertek's existing CompEx centre in Chester, the Grangemouth facility will offer a full suite of CompEx courses.
