The Speedglas 9100 MP (Multi- Protection) Welding & Safety Helmet has been designed to be wellbalanced, with a low centre of gravity, even when the helmet and visor are in the raised position. The top shell is made from heat-resistant polycarbonate. Hearing protection can also be quickly added, with the Peltor Helmet-Mounted Earmuff Assembly Kit from 3M.
The helmet is also compatible with the Adflo Powered Air Respirator by 3M. When used together, the helmet offers class TH3 respiratory protection with an assigned protection factor (APF) of 40 "Combined PPE options for welders are limited, so there is a demand for equipment that is comfortable and straightforward to use, as well as offering the level of protection needed," says Alan McArthur, 3M technical specialist.
