COOPER Crouse-Hinds, has
launched a new version of its eLLK
92 range of explosion-proof
fluorescent light fittings. The new
eLLK 92 DCA version has an
integrated AC/DC module that
enables connection to 220V central
batteries. The module is integrated
to the electronic ballast (EVG).
Whilst many customers already use the CG-S range of Ex fluorescent light fittings from the company, these units are considered high-end solutions, designed for the individual monitoring and programming of multiple light fittings within an emergency lighting installation.
However, the eLLK 92 DCA is a more cost effective option for users that do not require individual monitoring, only circuit monitoring. The eLLK 92 DCA functions as a 2-lamp AC mains light fitting.
However, in the event of a changeover to the DC supply via the battery, the eLLK 92 DCA switches to single lamp operation in its emergency lighting mode. In this way, the power consumption for the battery is halved, whilst at the same time, the luminance intensity is reduced.
