As well as being the only laundry using low temperature washes and the latest high performance environmentally friendly products, it has its own unique drying process too. In order to prolong the life of the garments and to maintain their unique safety features, phs Besafe uses its award-winning, innovative drying process, DrySafe, which uses infrared sensors to halve traditional drying times, saving energy and protecting the garments. 

Doing the right thing is important to the Besafe team and crucial investments in the latest innovations have been made to ensure the business is as sustainable as possible, allowing the drying process times to be cut by up to 50% in recent years. 

As one of the UK’s leading suppliers of specialist PPE workwear and commercial laundry solutions, phs Besafe has made the commitment to ban or restrict PFAS (also known as ‘toxic forever chemicals’) from its services wherever alternatives are available. The team work with global sustainability leader Ecolab to ensure phs Besafe has PFAS-free laundry treatments for all specialist workwear. They also partner with innovative manufacturer Tranemo Advanced Workwear to supply customers with a range of high quality, PFAS-free workwear garments wherever a PFAS-free alternative is available. 

Part of the phs Group, phs Besafe provides a nationwide service to over 3,000 customers, making 156,000 deliveries every year. It launders more than 1.2 million garments every year and also supplies and launders roller towels for washrooms and towels for leisure and events.
