Small and medium sized businesses attended a series of dedicated Focus Events held by A-Plant in collaboration with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). Focusing on Working at Height the event targeted SME's in and around the Glasgow area as well as companies signed up to the HSE's Working Well Together (WWT) campaign.
The day held at A-Plant's Service Centre in Govan, began with a talk from Moira Jennings, one of the HSE inspectors based in Glasgow. The event then proceeded to 6 individual focus groups, each covering an area of Working at Height and the different methods to make the industry a safer place.
The WWT campaign, set up by the HSE, is one that aims to improve health & safety for the construction industry with participation from the industry, particularly in small and macro businesses. Through this they aim to provide a nationwide network of groups where members can support and advise each other and stage events like the one featured in Glasgow.
