UK PROTECTIVE wworkwear manufacturer brings together an updated brand identity and rebuilt digital platform as it celebrates 30 years of trading.

Supertouch, the UK-based manufacturer and supplier of protective workwear and PPE, is marking 30 years of trading by bringing together significant developments in the form of an evolved brand identity and the launch of a fully rebuilt website.

Supertouch, along with its new branding, has introduced its statement of commitment, Protective Workwear with a Conscience, which is a clear articulation of the purpose that has shaped the business since it began. Built around three pillars, People, Planet and Performance, the identity reflects a business that has always protected workers by delivering products that perform and taken responsibility for its impact on the planet. All now expressed with a defined purpose and a refreshed look.

That evolution continues with the launch of Supertouch’s brand new website, rebuilt from the ground up with customer usability in mind. The new site gives the company’s distributor network handy features enabling faster ordering, greater control over account management, and more accurate, real-time stock information, alongside a redesigned interface built to make everyday account management easier.

Matt Rushton, head of commercial at Supertouch, comments: “After 30 years in this industry, we know that trust is built through consistency. This year we have brought a clearer sense of who we are together with the infrastructure to back it up, giving our distributors and customers a platform that matches the standard we hold ourselves to.”

That same purpose runs through Supertouch’s Blue Sphere sustainability programme, which uses Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certified materials and ethically manufactured garments. As well as through its ongoing support of the Balqees Welfare Foundation, to which the company donates 50% of its net profits and 5% of Blue Sphere revenue. The business also holds Sedex SMETA and Oekotex 100 Standard certification across its operations.

Supertouch owns and operates its own factory, producing knitted, woven and water-resistant garments under one roof, recently redesigned with the latest machinery. It is one of a small number of UK workwear manufacturers to retain this level of direct control over its supply chain, meaning they can assure quality and meet consumer demands.

Marking three decades in business, Supertouch says the changes reflect a company investing in its next phase of growth while remaining anchored to the same values that built it.
