GRP ladder platform for emergency tank showers
30 May 2019
With emergency tank showers measuring more than 3m high, inspecting their water tanks raises issues concerning the safety of employees working at height. A GRP ladder platform from Hughes offers a solution.
Hughes’ ladder platform for emergency tank showers is designed to enable easy and safe access to the tank.
These platforms can be attached to all new tank shower orders or retrofitted to current Hughes tank showers, with the option to mount at the left, right or rear of the shower, depending on requirements.
At 1215mm high, the railing on the platform exceeds the HSE recommended 950mm for working platforms, as well as the 1100mm stipulated in Building Regulations for guard rails.
The platform is said to provide::
- Increased safety for workers in the form of a permanent structure for working at height.
- Slip-resistance steps and a caged ladder area that offers added peace of mind, keeping workers safe during every step of the inspection and maintenance process.
- Hi-visibility (yellow GRP)
- Emergency safety showers for hire
- A hand with safety
- Safety showers at wastewater treatment plants
- Mitigate common dangers in the pulp and paper industry
- Durable control valve range
- Protect your investment with regular maintenance and servicing
- Tank-fed safety showers
- Transparency on glass manufacturing hazards
- Protecting workers with safety showers
- Servicing emergency safety showers
