Professional membership body

The International Institute of Risk
and Safety Management (IIRSM)
will be exhibiting Safety and Health
Expo 2012. IIRSM is a professional
membership body for health and
safety practitioners and specialists in
allied industries. The charity offers
individual (H&S or Specialist) and
Corporate membership and has
members in over 70 countries.

IIRSM offers a training
accreditation scheme, member
branches, various educational and
networking events and modular
e-learning. The organisation
maintains strong links with
outside organisations and believes
in third sector engagement. Most
recently IIRSM and Manchester
Business School (MBS) have been
awarded Knowledge Transfer
Partnership (KTP) funding for a
project to develop a tool which will
allow risk management practitioners
to analyse complex data more
effectively, enabling them to make
more accurate recommendations.
