The British have an
excellent record of washing
their hands after using the
toilet, a new survey reveals.

A total of 89% of British
people claim they always
wash their hands after using
the loo, while a further 10%
say they usually perform
this routine task.

The survey, carried out
on behalf of hygiene tissue
company SCA Tissue
Europe, revealed that
Britain was among Europe’s
front-runners when it came
to hand hygiene habits.

Respondents from Germany
and Sweden equalled
Britain’s 89%, while Sweden
came close behind with
87% of people claiming to
always wash their hands
after using the toilet.
