Fleet management software

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

New Software as a Service (SaaS) fleet management platform ODO was officially launched on 18th January at a glittering event in Searcys at the top of the Gherkin.

ODO has taken a year and a half to build using the very latest JavaScript-based, open source web application platform Angular and Oracle SQL server database technologies. ODO also uses technology developed by ODO parent company – the established British automotive technology company Drive Software Solutions Limited (DSSL).

The result is a very intuitive, mobile-ready fleet management offering which is designed for use by HR managers, financial managers, business owners and SME business drivers on the go, as well as fleet managers of larger companies.

ODO’s approach to software provision means that there are no up-front cost barriers and companies only pay for the service modules they actually need via a monthly subscription. With ODO, there is no largescale desktop implementations or user training required. It’s easy to use and deliberately built for non-technical users across the organisation – whether they are checking all company vehicles have up-to-date MOTs, insurance and service records, inputting a company car driver’s latest journey details, or just trying to work out when a specific vehicle is due for change.

ODO’s general managerGordon Lyster said: “ODO addresses the issues of managing fleets which many small businesses struggle with day to day. It helps managers track costs, vehicle usage levels, maintenance and servicing records, run driver licence checks and more. The intelligence that ODO provides helps fleets stay the right side of the law when it comes to compliance, while keeping fleet management costs to a minimum.”

ODO will offer full telematics integration as early as February 2018 and access and input via an easy to use mobile app for iOS and Android devices by June 2018.
