Workplace deaths in Birmingham are double

WORKERS IN the city of Birmingham suffer twice as many fatal accidents at work compared to the rest of the country, according to research from payroll and HR expert Moorepay. Chances of suffering a fatal accident in the city were 0.84 per 100,000 workers, compared to a national average of just 0.4.

HSENI AND the Farm Safety Partnership (FSP) have launched a survey on Farm Safety aimed at raising farm safety awareness and protecting the lives and livelihoods of local farmers. Farm businesses have been randomly selected to participate in the survey to ensure a representative coverage.

Nurses trial GPS safety app

TO PROMOTE the safety of its community workers, Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CFT) is trialling various safety devices. These include fobs and mobile applications (apps) linked to intercom services which send an alert to teams in cases of an emergency.
