UK records 8 million mental health sick days in 2026

THE UK has now passed eight million working days lost to mental ill-health in 2026. Analysis by Simplyhealth found that by 14 May — the 92nd working day of the year — the estimated total number of mental ill-health sick days taken had reached 8,036,364.
