Beeswift: Focused on safety

27 February 2024

BEESWIFT FOLLOWS the 3C’S - Compliance, Conformity, Certification - ensuring its customers are protected to the standard they expect allowing them to focus on what they do best.

Bringing circularity to the workplace

As a key manufacturer and wholesaler of personal protective equipment, workwear and medical supplies, Beeswift is constantly striving to develop and innovate.

ENVIROWEAR is Beeswift’s award winning, innovative range of sustainable circular clothing. Made from 100% post-consumer plastic waste, these hi-vis garments use 100% recycled material through the closed loop process. Beeswift joined the Circular Textiles Foundation (CTF) to further ensure that the range of garments can be recycled. The CTF is a non-proitable organisation that was created to increase the awareness and understanding of sustainable, circular process clothing.

The sustainable revolution

A clothing revolution is changing the way garments are made and how wearers want to interact with brands. ENVIROWEAR has been designed to be recycled.

The challenges

Of the 40 million workwear garments provided to wearers annually in the UK over 90% end up in landill or get incinerated. Garments are often blended with other fibres rendering them almost impossible to recycle. Trims, accessories and inishes introduce further barriers to recycling.

Further innovation with Envirowear

With circularity in mind, ENVIROWEAR garments undergo a specialised recycling process, transforming them into polyester pellets that can be turned back into yarn, making the garments 100% recyclable as well.

Beeswift has partnered with Project Reclaim, a pioneering initiative focused on polyester recycling. This collaboration has installed a state of the art textile recycling machine at one of the Salvation Army Processing Centres, enabling the company to fully recycle ENVIROWEAR.
