Driver training consultation
virtualriskmanager.net is encouraging people to promote and contribute to the current consultation of the European Commission on the training of professional drivers.The consultation is part of a process of assessing the implementation of Directive 2003/59/EC on the compulsory initial qualification and periodic training for professional drivers.
The EC’s online questionnaire asks whether the Directive has met its objectives and what specific action and measures may need to be adopted to improve its effectiveness. In particular, the consultation addresses the issue of mutual recognition of professional drivers’ training, notably the certificate of professional competence (CPC). The aim is also to identify new common requirements by analysing the different existing structures.
