Unigloves purchases Derma Shield

HAND PROTECTION manufacturer Unigloves has announced that it has purchased the Derma Shield business, diversifying to include a broader range of hand and arm protection products and services in line with its growth strategy.

The move will see Unigloves complementing its market-leading industrial and disposable gloves, with Derma Shield's protective skincare system, following a successful commercial partnership with Derma Shield over the last 18 months.

As part of the purchase agreement, former Derma Shield MD Peter Friswell will work with the Unigloves team over the next three years, utilising his many years of experience to support both Derma Shield and Unigloves customers.

Derma Shield is known to protect the skin against everyday workplace skin irritants, including greases, oils, inks, coolants, detergents, solvents, chemicals and paints or from working in outdoor environments. It can be used across a wide range of industrial environments and is safe to use inside gloves.
