AFI has become a preferred supplier to Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council in the West Midlands to provide a wide range of safety training for council employees.

AFI will initially provide New Road and Street Works Act (NRSWA) training and Abrasive Wheels training for the council.

Other training that AFI may be asked to provide for employees in the Council’s workforce of 8,000 includes IPAF and PASMA working at height training, IOSH, NEBOSH and Manual Handling training.

Sandwell Council Leader Councillor Darren Cooper said: “We take safety at work very seriously and this contract will ensure we meet our responsibilities in a cost effective and efficient way.”
