Taking safety beyond compliance

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

DuPont Sustainable Solutions is to host the first UK SafeStart workshop at the Ramada Hotel Birmingham, 16 – 17 May 2017.

SafeStart is an all-encompassing personal safety culture programme created to demonstrate how different states of mind can influence and increase the risk of accidents and personal injury. The programme improves safety awareness and personal safety skills, ultimately reducing errors and incidents. SafeStart’s proven concepts:

  • Address common safety issues
  • Reduce workplace injuries by an average 50%
  • Increase PPE and overall safety compliance
  • Improve morale and participation in safety culture
  • Save companies hundreds of thousands of pounds
  • Boost quality and productivity

On Day 1 of the two-day event, the ‘Public Workshop’ will provide a SafeStart programme overview and introduce delegates to key concepts. It will examine the changes SafeStart can accomplish, focusing on improvements in morale, productivity, quality and team communication; as well as financial savings.

On Day 2, delegates will learn how to use SafeStart programme techniques and supporting material to improve safety awareness and build the skills needed to identify the patterns that lead to injury.

Implemented at more than 10,000 sites globally and used to train 3,000,000 people, SafeStart is one of the most successful safety training programmes in the world. For more information or to register for the event visit: http://bit.ly/safestart517.
