Uniline was part of the winning team
that helped create Durban’s Mabhida
Stadium, which was purpose built for
the 2010 FIFA World Cup. This large
scale, complex project provided
plenty of opportunity for Uniline
Safety Systems to offer fall protection
system design advice and solutions to
its approved installer, Specialized
Access Services (SAS).

The complex stadium design
required special interface brackets to
mount the fall protection system,
which Uniline was able to design,
ensuring a high level of functionality
and performance. A visitor viewing
platform on the stadium’s centre arch
was fitted with Uniline’s fall arrest
system, while the company’s Uni-16
system provides safe access for
multiple maintenance personnel
working on the compression and
tension rings around the stadium.

Four EasyClimber systems were
also installed for safe vertical access
on ladders.
