Hiab has received major funding
from the European Union for a
three-year research cooperation
project with three academic partners
to develop a new approach to control
systems designed to improve
operational safety and efficiency of
load handling equipment.

Hiab has received major funding
from the European Union for a
three-year research cooperation
project with three academic partners
to develop a new approach to control
systems designed to improve
operational safety and efficiency of
load handling equipment.

The EUR 1.4 million project will
also involve the creation of design
strategies for advanced light materials
applied to load handling structures to
reduce their weight and fuel
consumption. The academic partners
are the West Pomeranian University
of Technology in Szczecin, Poland;
The Silesian University of Technology
in Poland; and the Lulea University of
Technology in Sweden.
