In 1995, two scaffolders from Turner
Access erected a 100m2 scaffold in
less than 26 minutes – this was listed
as an official Guinness World Record.

Although perfectly acceptable then,
the method used would not fully
meet statutory regulations or
industry guidance today. Turner
Access has therefore decided to
arrange another
competition to
record the
fastest time
adopting
practices that
meet the latest
health and
safety
requirements.

The
competition is
open to all qualified scaffolders but
entrants must meet a qualifying time
to compete. Turner Access will
provide all necessary equipment and
training for those who require it. The
Turner Access Scaffolder
Competition will be held in 2013
(date to be confirmed). Visit
www.turner-access.co.uk for updates.
