This new initiative will reduce the training burden on contractors by enabling them to access the large library of industry approved online contractor health and safety e-Learning courses provided by Human Focus. This development will make it easier for CHAS contractors to complete their annual assessment whilst reducing training costs.   

The health and safety courses on offer are independently approved and industry standard – they include:

• UKATA Asbestos Awareness 
• IOSH courses including Managing Safely and  Working Safely
• Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) – Legionella for Duty Holders and Legionella Awareness
• CDM for Duty Holders and CDM Awareness – RoSPA approved

The per trainee fee for these e-Learning courses are lower cost than the equivalent classroom option. Where there is an urgent need for training to complete a CHAS approval the required courses can now be completed straight away at the employee’s convenience.
