On reflection

SATRA has invested £50,000 on a
new photometer and
spectrophotometer enabling the
company to offer comprehensive inhouse
testing of reflective clothing to
European standards such as EN 471.

The photometer apparatus
measures the ability of materials to
reflect light at various entrance and
observation angle combinations and
will be used to assess the performance
of retro-reflective tapes such as those
fitted to high visibility clothing.
