No room for resistance

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

To help combat hospital acquired infections, PIP products from Chrisal NV – distributed exclusively in the UK & Ireland by Pro-B – use specific, naturally occurring, Type 1 bacteria in combination with cleaning agents such as surfactants and enzymes.

To avoid bacterial resistance, none of the PIP products have any direct biocidal action towards other organisms; instead the mechanism of action is based on ‘competitive exclusion’, combined with an influence on the ‘quorum sensing’ communication between organisms.

PIP also remove the biofilm created by pathogens and other bacteria, which serves to protect colonies of harmful bacteria, as well as hold dirt and support viruses and other problematic substances.
