Leicestershire business in running for top award
A LEICESTERSHIRE company has been shortlisted for a top industry award – for ensuring that NHS patients, visitors and staff are able to evacuate a building safely.
Emergency Evacuation Equipment and Training (3ET) designs, manufactures and provides emergency moving and handling equipment, for the safe evacuation of a building in any emergency. The products provide a proven solution for people of all types – from babies to bariatric*.
The business has supplied its equipment to one of largest NHS trusts in the UK – working closely with the Trust over several months, to assess its needs, install the equipment and provide the ongoing training of its staff.
Before this provision, the trust had very little specialist equipment to ensure the efficient evacuation of patients, visitors and staff from its buildings.
In recognition of this work, Emergency Evacuation Equipment and Training has now been shortlisted for Fire Safety Project of the Year in the Fire & Security Matters Awards 2022.

Founded in 2016, Emergency Evacuation Equipment and Training has decades of experience working with the emergency services, the NHS, care homes, schools and local authorities and many other sectors.
The company is based near to Coalville in Leicestershire and also in Sunderland, at its manufacturing site. It exports worldwide and provides onsite training, helping organisations prepare for carrying out an emergency evacuation.
The award winners will be announced later this month at a gala dinner at Coventry Building Society Arena, hosted by comedian and impressionist Alistair McGowan.
