Improved operator safety

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

Combilift’s first pedestrian trucks – the Combi-WR and multidirectional Combi-WR4 ‘Walkie Reach’ – have been developed in response to feedback from back of store retail operations and the DIY sector for a cost effective smaller unit for handling lighter loads, says MD Martin McVicar.

“In areas where the general public or employees may be present these models offer a very safe way of handling pallets as well as longer loads in confined areas,” he adds.

The multi-position tiller (patent pending) enables the operator to remain at the side of the truck rather than at the rear, improving forward visibility and reducing the risk of incidents in tight or narrow aisles.
