Home emergency chair

Evacusafe has launched a new safety
product, specifically designed for use
in the home. The Home Emergency
Chair is a transport chair designed to
assist family members in the home,
who may require assistance to exit
the house in an emergency, such as a
fire, due to mobility issues such as
disability, illness or other medical
conditions.

The three wheel design makes it
particularly suitable for use on stairs,
both upwards and downwards, as it
glides with little effort, making it
easy-to-use. For best practise
Evacusafe recommends that two
people assist with the evacuation to
provide optimum comfort and safety
to the evacuee.

Commenting on the new product,
Evacusafe director Paul Mitchell says:
“It’s not just a chair for use in
emergencies, it’s also ideal for
helping less able relatives move
around the home, in particular up
and down stairs.”
