Hand wash stations

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

The different weather patterns bring different challenges for hospitals, but the focus on rigorous hand hygiene procedures should remain in place at all times to prevent infection outbreaks.

“Hospitals and health organisations must ensure hand wash units are visible at all times to encourage hand washing as infections, such as MRSA, are present all year round,” Manty Stanley MD at TEAL, says.

“Investing in hand wash units will enable staff, patients and visitors– to take responsibility for playing their part in preventing the spread of infection,” Manty concludes.

The TEAL Stop n’Wash is a portable hand wash station that requires no access to mains water or drainage. It features a synchronised display, which takes users through the automatic program and seven rubbing actions as laid down by NHS guidelines. Hands free and fully automatic, the device has no levers or taps to re-infect hands.
