Emergency response

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

In an emergency situation, a blackout is possible. In zero light conditions, conventional hi-vis clothing will also be invisible, making an already dangerousous situation even more hazardous.

CKL’s range of wearable technology hi-vis clothing doesn’t even need a light source to be shone on it to be visible. With 11 built-in high intensity LEDs, a rechargeable battery good for 20 hours use, all in a 100% waterproof but machine-washable hi-vis vest or jacket, CKL says this is true high visibility and could allow emergency situations to be handled far more effectively.

The LEDs have different flash settings which can be used as codes to communicate in emergency situations.

The jackets come with CKL’s latest innovative ICE tags. Using QR-code and internet technology, the employee stores all his details online and the small highly durable yet unobtrusive plastic ICE tag on his zip puller for emergency staff to easily access it if ever required. They are also available for purchase separately for only a few pounds – making it a highly cost effective and technical way to build in additional safety for a construction workforce.
