Design award

Haraldur Agustsson, MD of Globus
(Shetland), a UK leader in hand
protection for the workplace and
home, has picked up the prestigious
Ernst & Young (E&Y) Entrepreneur
of the Year award for Original
Product Design in the North of
England.

The judges, who comprised
independent national business leaders
in the North of England, praised
Agustsson for having built Globus
into a major player in the safety glove
market from a relatively small starting
capital. He will now represent the
North of England at the UK finals in
London in October.
