Fibrelite says it is seeing an increase in enquiries for its lightweight composite access covers as industries worldwide switch from the more traditionally used metal and concrete.

Managing director Ian Thompson explained: “Industries are favouring more advanced materials for a number of reasons, including better whole life costs and changing health and safety regulations. Our covers are specifically designed for safe lifting, incorporating up to two lifting points for ergonomic handles that allow them to be removed easily and safely without the need for heavy lifting machinery; even at heavy load ratings.

“In addition, our covers have a number of other benefits which make them the modern choice for replacement work or new projects – including being corrosion-resistant.”

Fibrelite can provide bespoke and custom made trench covers to meet specific project design criteria. They can be coloured to either blend in with the colour or layout of a facility, or to incorporate a company logo.
