New from Ansell are the
TouchNTuff 83-500 Sterile
Polyisoprene and TouchNTuff 93-
700 Sterile Nitrile gloves. Claimed to
offer unrivalled protection
synonymous with the TouchNTuff
product family, both new gloves are
also designed to provide maximum
comfort and performance in
manufacturing environments
requiring sterility.

The TouchNTuff 83-500
Sterile Polyisoprene
glove is made of
100%
synthetic
polyisoprene, a
polymer designed to
mimic the structure and
attributes of natural rubber,
suitable for users with latex allergies
(Type I). The style provides wearers
with a ‘second skin’ fit and feel that
delivers high levels of comfort.

Combined with Ansell SureFit
Technology, the gloves securely fit to
the forearm and prevent the cuff
from rolling down, maintaining the
integrity of a sterile
environment. The
gloves also offer an
enhanced anti-slip
finish on the surface
of the fingers and
palm for a greater
degree of grip in
both wet and dry work
environments.

The new TouchNTuff93-700
Sterile Nitrile glove style offers
robust performance and chemical
splash protection. Laboratory tests
indicate the thinner gloves are more
puncture and tear-resistant than latex
alternatives, maximising protection
and providing superior strength.

Designed for sterile environments,
the TouchNTuff 93-700 glove style
provides a higher level of chemical
splash exposure resistance for a wide
range of chemicals, maintaining a
high degree of comfort, longer cuffs
for forearm safety and textured
fingertips for optimal grip
performance.

As the global pharmaceutical
market grows, so will the need for
protective solutions within sterile
environments. Natural rubber latex
has traditionally been used in the
manufacturing of personal
protection equipment. However
research conducted by the
Occupational Safety and Health
Administration (OSHA) estimates
that as many as 17% of people are
allergic to latex. The TouchNTuff
family of products is at the forefront
of the industry move away from the
use of natural latex and is said to be a
market leader in meeting the needs
of workers at risk. Stand 56
