Cardinus Partner with Warriors to Set New Standards in Stadium Safety

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

Warriors have joined forces with industry specialists Cardinus Risk Management in a partnership aimed at making the club the Gallagher Premiership’s leaders in safety.

Warriors and Cardinus’ joint initiative creates a fresh approach to safety excellence in events management following the challenge posed to venues following the tragic events in Manchester in 2017.

“We are extremely excited to be working with Cardinus who are global leaders in the field of health, safety and risk management,” said Gené Willis, Warriors’ Head of Stadium Operations.

“Their knowledge and guidance will help us to lead the way and become a centre of excellence at Sixways Stadium.”

With the Green and Purple guides in place sporting events and venues are looking to tighten security and event management, ensuring they keep up with current threats.

Cardinus have addressed the issues raised in those guides and put forward a robust operational plan to help events and venue management teams to ensure safety concerns are met in all areas including business continuity, crowd control, working in the community, player duty of care, terrorism and contractors.

“Cardinus are proud to announce a joint partnership with one of the leading rugby and event sporting stadiums, Sixways Stadium, the home of Worcester Warriors,” said Andy Neal, Cardinus’ Director of Global Security Solutions.

“Cardinus aim to take Worcester Warriors and Sixways Stadium to the pinnacle of sporting and event safety management.

“Aligning the industry’s Green and Purple Guides,  Cardinus focus their skills on making safety of all people within a sports ground, wherever it is located, a priority for governments, security services , sport governing bodies, venue owners and operators.

“Worcester Warriors and Cardinus are moving forward with bright and innovative operational safety management that support all staff and customers to stay safe.”
